To deeply understand matibabu’s mission on the world, we ran workshops with key stakeholders, discovering an exciting vision of a world where access to proper health treatment should be seen as an unquestionable right for humanity.
In collaboration with matibabu, we’ve consolidated this vision together with the willingness to take action among every matibabu team member, defining the strategic north star — Fight for the rightful access to health — and cementing a unique and more human proposition for the brand.

To help bring matibabu’s ambition to life, we’ve partnered with the University of Coimbra, where we ran extensive technological research and development sprints.
Together, we have packed everything into a mobile technology validation prototype which matibabu used as a platform to test, validate and refine their proprietary technology.

Looking at product development as a brand experience, our teams redesigned the technology validation prototype considering important product design language and user interaction principles.
Informed by a common strategic north star, our graphic and industrial designers worked side-by-side with the matibabu team to coordinate the brand’s entire ecosystem as one united experience that feels inherently more human.

To get to the heart of people’s needs and wants, we brought the brand closer to its community and culture through a more human personality that’s capable of inspiring action – we close the gap – and articulating clearly its intent to the world.
From brand implementation plans, website, pitch deck, stationery and merchandising, we’ve supported matibabu in every communication aspect, unifying all elements through a consistent brand system that improved the brand elasticity and clarified its equity.

Running multiple tests simultaneously, and in different locations, matibabu needed a way of centralizing, organizing and visualizing all information from all field tests. We’ve developed a new testing platform that allowed matibabu to validate important technology
milestones, while also empowering the brand with the future capabilities of running prediction algorithms and deducing geographically customized malaria trends.
